The Fashion Tea

                                                                                                    CARNIVAL!!!!

This is my first post on the Fashion Tea and first of all I’d like to say that I’m honored to write here. I intended to right about the fashion weeks that happened only a couple weeks ago, but since next weekend starts the Carnival I changed my mind, because besides being major event in Brazil it’s popular all over the world.
Usually people start preparing themselves for this a couple months earlier, because choosing the outfit is very important. This time of the year is when people get to wear extravagant clothes therefore it’s very common for people to wear costumes and masks or colorful clothes and make up at the parties during the weekend.
Every night the parade, which takes place at the “Sambodromo”, is the highlight. For that the most frequent outfits are jeans shorts and the “abadas” that are t-shirts
customized in a different way by each guest of the brand that sponsors the VIP cabin. When it’s time to choose the shoes most people go for high heels, but since most of them are going to spend the whole night dancing they better wear flats. Glitter is also very
fashionable around this time, but you have to be careful in other for it not to be too much;)

Hello, everyone! I’m Dora, an Italian personal shopper and fashion blogger living in Madrid, Spain.

I’m very glad to collaborate with this new space “The Fashion Tea” and I want to thank Alessia for this opportunity.

I’d like to give my idea about Spanish fashion. In Spain the point of view of fashion is very different from Italy but really interesting. In Italy we have a great culture of fashion and care of our image, not only the girls but the guys too. According to my opinion, in Spain, this culture has been increasing during the last years but not in the menswear! Anyway this country has a very good prospective and I think it will grow in the next years but the Spanish have to work a lot to reach the level of the capitals of fashion.

At the moment I think Spain is known in the world for its low cost brands like Zara and Mango or Desigual and Custo: the last one is present in the New York Fashion Week. But there are other very important brands like Agatha Ruiz de la Prada or Loewe. In particular my favorite brands are Mango and Loewe.

Of Spanish fashion I like the use of color and the experimentation in testing different outfits.

At the beginning of February there was the Madrid Fashion Week with some interesting fashion shows and I was there at the young talent designer Jose Matteos. It was a gothic fashion show, the only color was black with different materials and details. I’d like to show you some pictures.

Ciao a tutti!

Hi, I’m Ln from Belgium and this is my first post for the Fashion Tea! Belgium is a country divided into two parts: Flanders and Wallonia. Our capital, Brussels, is situated right on the border of those two parts. I live in Antwerp, the biggest city of Flanders. Flanders Fashion Institute is an organization that helps young Fashion designers to think more commercial. Next week and the week after that FFI will be shown at the London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. Like every year new Belgium designers will show their brand new collections to the world and maybe become the new world’s most famous designers.
